We're committed to empowering foster youth at Tri-County Career Center. Our goal is to inspire, challenge, and prepare these students, ensuring they have the support they need to reach their full career potential.
Tri-County Career Center is dedicated to building a stable resource network for youth transitioning from foster care.
Our goal is to foster collaboration among the Tri-County Career Center community, local agencies, and other partners to better support our students with foster care backgrounds. We strive to coordinate access to necessary services and supports, with the ultimate goal of improving student outcomes and retention.

Community Impact
We are establishing a network to support foster youth, based on successful models from Cuyahoga, Montgomery, and Summit counties. Our program was directly inspired by the Kent State Purple Umbrella Network, which shared its vision with Tri-County Career Center. By following their successful model, we hope to contribute to a broader statewide network that will boost higher education retention for youth impacted by foster care across Ohio. A special thank you to Kent State Purple Umbrella, Danielle Green-Welch, and Robert Alexander for their inspiration and guidance.
Tri-County Career Center Purple Umbrella has achieved the first Ohio Reach Postsecondary Designation by the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
