Tri-County's Adult Center is an approved provider and offers the IMAP grant to qualified individuals who are entering into the Fiber optics program.
What is IMAP
Ohio’s Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP) Grant is a unique initiative introduced by the state of Ohio to support its residents in obtaining microcredentials that can help them advance their careers. Microcredentials are short-term, targeted learning programs that provide learners with specific knowledge and skills in a particular field.
The IMAP Grant is a state-funded program that aims to make microcredentials more accessible and affordable for Ohio residents. Through this program, eligible individuals can receive financial assistance to cover the cost of microcredential programs offered by approved providers. The grant is available to Ohio residents who have a high school diploma or equivalent, are at least 18 years old, and are not currently enrolled in high school or college.
How to Apply
To apply for the IMAP Grant at Tri-County, individuals must first contact the Adult Center and state that they are interested in the fiber optics program and the IMAP grant. Someone at the center will walk them through the registration and application process.
